DESCRIPTION:Georgia EMS Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Training Program\, hosted by National EMS. Presented by Augusta University’s Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPaR) in partnership with the Georgia Trauma Commission. \nAn instructor-led\, scenario-based course in which participants work through a progressive\, regionally focused mass casualty scenario and make real-time decisions involving command\, triage\, resource allocation\, patient movement\, transport\, communications\, and hospital distribution. \nCourse topics:MCI recognition\, scene size-up\, and activationIncident Command and Unified CommandSALT/START triage and lifesaving interventionsCasualty collection\, treatment\, and transportResource allocation and patient distributionCommunications\, mutual aid\, and regional coordinationProgressive MCI scenario and after-action review \n7.5 hours of EMS CE. In person. No cost to attend. Lunch provided. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. \nRegister: MCI training registration. This form covers several courses across Georgia\, so choose the December 3 Watkinsville course when you register.
