SUMMARY:Child Passenger Safety Technician Course
DESCRIPTION:Good Morning\, \n  \nThe Child Occupant Safety Project is holding a Child Passenger Safety Technician certification course in Harris County beginning Tuesday\, February 27\, 2024 through Friday\, March 1\, 2024. The class will be located in Harris County Public Library\, 7511 GA-116\, Hamilton\, Georgia. The class will run Tuesday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm. \n  \nThis four-day course will provide participants with the knowledge regarding best practices\, hands-practice\, and a national certification through Safe Kids Worldwide. As a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST)\, they can put their knowledge to work through a variety of activities\, including community presentations and/or child safety seat checks where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts. \n  \nThis training is pertinent for law enforcement\, hospital staff\, firefighters\, EMS personnel\, childcare professionals\, transportation professionals\, and the public at large. By completing this course\, they’ll join the team of over 41\,000 nationally certified CPSTs and have a direct\, positive impact on their community. \n  \nThe national course fee is $95. \n  \nHere is the link to the certification website: http://cert.safekids.org/.
