Child Passenger Safety Technician Course

The Child Occupant Safety Project is holding a Child Passenger Safety Technician certification course in Webster County beginning Tuesday, May 14,15, 20 and 21, 2024  The class will be located in Webster County Community Center, 40 Cemetery Rd, Preston, Georgia. The class is a split class  consisting of two days one week, two days the next week. Class will be 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

This four-day course will provide participants with the knowledge regarding best practices, hands-practice, and a national certification through Safe Kids Worldwide. As a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), they can put their knowledge to work through a variety of activities, including community presentations and/or child safety seat checks where parents and caregivers receive education and hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts.

This training is pertinent for law enforcement, hospital staff, firefighters, EMS personnel, childcare professionals, transportation professionals, and the public at large. By completing this course, they’ll join the team of over 41,000 nationally certified CPSTs and have a direct, positive impact on their community.

The national course fee is $95.
